Intention, Plans, Purpose & Pivots...

Happy July, Beautiful Soul,
Summer is certainly flying by...
This month has been filled with living, learning, stretching, thriving, crying, laughing, embracing all the feels, and stepping outside of my comfort zone. It has also been a month of unexpected realizations—those quiet moments that gently shift how I see myself and how I choose to move through the world.
One question, in particular, stopped me in my tracks:
What is the purpose of studying, planning, healing, and intentionally choosing to BE...
if I never allow that growth to be lived?
As many of you know, I often speak about honoring how we are uniquely created. For me, solitude has been sacred. It is where I pray, journal, read, practice Reiki, reflect, reconnect with God, and return to myself.
And if I'm being honest...
It is also where I feel the safest.
Yet this month reminded me that while solitude is a beautiful place to heal, it was never meant to become the only place where I remain.
Healing was never meant to keep me hidden.
Learning invites me to live differently.
Healing allows me to love differently.
Growth encourages me to show up differently.
There comes a time when we must trust the work taking place behind the scenes and allow it to become part of how we move through the world.
That does not mean every interaction will be easy.
It does not mean we will always find ourselves in spaces where everyone shares our values, perspectives, or energy.
And perhaps...
That is not the point.
One way our growth becomes visible is through how we choose to show up when we share space with others.
Can I remain grounded when someone disagrees with me?
Can I choose compassion without abandoning discernment?
Can I honor my boundaries without hardening my heart?
Can I remain authentic without requiring everyone to understand me?
These are some of the questions that have been sitting with me this month.
They have also led me to another quiet realization.
I have come to embrace that I am beautifully complex.
There are many layers to who I am.
I carry both strength and softness.
For much of my life, strength has come naturally. It has served me well. It has helped me navigate seasons that required resilience, leadership, perseverance, and the ability to keep moving when life became difficult.
Yet I have also noticed something about myself.
When life ebbs, when disappointment visits, or when uncertainty lingers, my instinct is to harden. To protect. To retreat behind what feels familiar and safe.
Today, I notice it more quickly.
And when I do, I make a different choice.
I intentionally cultivate my feminine energy.
For me, feminine energy is not about appearance, titles, or traditional roles. It is about remaining open instead of closed, receptive instead of reactive, compassionate instead of guarded, intuitive instead of fearful, and deeply rooted in who God created me to BE.
I choose to soften.
Not because softness is weakness, but because it is one of the greatest expressions of my strength. It is the energy I desire to carry into every room I enter. It allows me to remain open without surrendering my boundaries, compassionate without abandoning my discernment, and grounded without feeling the need to armor myself against every experience.
Perhaps this, too, is part of healing.
Not becoming someone different.
But remembering who I have always been beneath the layers of protection.
And consciously choosing, moment by moment, to live from that place.
Each day, I return to the Four Agreements.
I practice the Five Reiki Principles.
I pause through my 3-Pause Self-Check-In.
Not because I have mastered any of them.
But because they continue to guide me home to myself.
They remind me that healing is not simply something I practice in solitude.
It is something I carry into my relationships, my leadership, my marriage, my business, and every shared space I have the privilege to enter.
I am also learning that intentional living is not about having every detail perfectly planned.
Plans can change.
Purpose may call us beyond what feels familiar.
Pivots may become necessary.
Sometimes intention looks like saying yes to a new experience.
Sometimes it looks like continuing to court my husband and intentionally nurturing our marriage.
Sometimes it looks like investing in my growth through MasterMind, reading, journaling, and lifelong learning.
Sometimes it looks like allowing the people I love the space to walk their own journeys while remaining connected to my own agency.
And sometimes...
It looks like trusting that I have done enough inner work to stop hiding behind preparation and begin participating more fully in my life.
Beautiful Soul, perhaps there is an area of your life where you have been preparing for so long that you have forgotten to participate.
Maybe you have been waiting until you feel more confident.
More qualified.
More healed.
More ready.
But what if readiness is not the absence of fear?
What if readiness is simply trusting yourself enough to take the next step?
Not because you are perfect.
But because you have been faithfully doing the work.
Growth is not meant to remain only within the pages of our journals, the books we read, or our private moments of prayer and reflection.
It is also meant to be experienced.
Shared.
Lived.
As I continue evolving, I am learning that intention is not simply about creating a beautiful plan.
It is about having the courage to live it.
And the grace to pivot when life unfolds differently than expected.
Reflection
Where have I been preparing when life may be inviting me to participate?
Perhaps you do not need to prove anything.
Perhaps you are simply being invited to trust what has already taken root within you.
Step into the room.
Remain grounded in who you are.
Allow your presence to reflect the person you are continuously becoming.
The world does not need a perfect version of you.
It simply needs the authentic one.
Zendalannette's Make Space Practice
From Preparation to Participation
Before stepping back into your day, I invite you to spend a few intentional moments with yourself.
Find a comfortable place to sit.
Close your eyes if that feels supportive.
Take a slow breath in through your nose.
Gently exhale through your mouth.
Repeat three times.
Allow your shoulders to soften.
Release your jaw.
Simply notice your body without judgment.
❤️ Root Chakra — I Am Safe
Place your hands comfortably in your lap or near the base of your spine.
Take three slow breaths.
I am grounded. I am supported. I am safe to take my next step.
🧡 Sacral Chakra — I Create
Move your hands just below your navel.
Take three slow breaths.
I give myself permission to experience joy, creativity, and meaningful connection.
💛 Solar Plexus Chakra — I Choose
Bring your hands to your upper abdomen.
Take three slow breaths.
I trust the work I have already done. I move forward with courage, confidence, and intention.
💚 Heart Chakra — I Love
Place both hands over your heart.
Take three slow breaths.
I choose to lead with compassion—for myself and for others. My healing allows me to love without losing myself.
💜 Third Eye Chakra — I See
Place one hand gently over your forehead while leaving the other over your heart.
Take three slow breaths.
I trust my inner wisdom. I see clearly. I release fear and remain open to the next step on my journey.
Closing Blessing
Take one final deep breath.
As you exhale, imagine your breath carrying peace throughout your entire body.
Beautiful Soul...
May you feel grounded enough to begin.
Open enough to experience.
Courageous enough to choose.
Compassionate enough to remain soft.
And wise enough to trust your next step.
Continue making space.
Continue choosing yourself.
Continue allowing your healing to be lived—not as a performance, but as a quiet expression of who you are.
Cheers to Healing, Evolving, & ReleaZing...
With Grace, Gratitude, & Love,
